All sports this year will be held according to all IHSA, IDPH, D39 and local regulations and guidance as they adhere to the COVID-19 pandemic. These rules, regulations, and guidelines are subject to change before and during all athletic seasons.
COVID Protocols:
From IDPH and IESA:
• Outdoor sports: Regardless of vaccination status, individuals may engage in training, competition, and other active exercise without wearing a mask for all sports played outdoors, except where required by laws, rules, or regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
• Indoor sports: For sports played indoors, individuals aged two years and older who can medically tolerate a mask, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask and maintain physical distancing to the extent possible. All spectators, regardless of vaccination status, should wear a mask in attendance at indoor youth sports events. All spectators must wear a mask if the event is held indoors in a public or nonpublic P-12 school setting.
From The District/Conference:
• Masks will be required for everyone (student/athletes, coaches, spectators, referees, supervisors, etc.) at all indoor (volleyball and basketball) Conference events.
• Masks will not be required for outdoor (cross country, soccer, track and field) events.
• 3 feet of distance will be required for those who are on the sideline, or bench area, when they are not in the game.
• Locker rooms will not be available for visiting teams to change into uniforms
• Conference school teams will change into uniforms before boarding the bus.
